Iran’s Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Aliasgar Soltaniyya stated that the officers of the mentioned organization would visit to Iran. By his words, this visit will happen on January 29-31. The IAEA delegation will be led by Herman Nakartz, said ISNA referring to Soltaniyya. The main purpose of the visit will be discussion of the doubtful points in regard to Iran’s nuclear program and conducting bilateral negotiations with the Iranian specialists, he said.
To note, Herman Nakartz made a visit to Iran with a group of delegation and experts last year. The report prepared as a result of that visit and gotten papers showed the points of possibility of Iran’s nuclear program to use for the military purposes. The report prepared by Nakartz was met the strict criticisms of Iran’s representative to the Agency Soltaniyya. Soltaniyya called his report nonsense.
To mention, till now the UN Security Council has adopted 4 sanction resolutions concerning Iran’s nuclear program. The resolutions ask Iran to stop uranium enrichment and to prove to the IAEA a peace purpose of the nuclear program. The IAEA Secretary-General Yukia Amaneo has made complaints of the Iranian party not to cooperate with the experts of the organization and the doubtful points in Iran’s nuclear activity. He expressed his doubts about the aspects that Iran’s nuclear program might be used for military purpose.
But refusing the claims in this report, the Iranian officials stated that Iran’s nuclear activity was of peace purpose at all and was continuing for producing electric energy. After Amaneo’s last report the US and EU, as well as some other countries began to apply the unilateral sanctions against Iran. At the same time, the EU countries are discussing to apply the sanctions on buying crude oil from Iran. And the US has applied the sanctions against Iran’s central Bank. In spite of all of these, Iran hasn’t made any change in its positions yet.
