The Coordination Council for the Green Path of Hope spread the statement concerning the parliamentary elections

Giving the statement the Coordination Council for the Green Path of Hope, which supports Mousavi and Karrubi, named the forthcoming parliamentary elections “a formal election”. To note, the council was established after the scandalous presidential elections 3 years ago and in its statement supported the wishes of the reformists to cancel the previous presidential elections. The council acts abroad at the moment.

“The different groups of the green movement have stated their attitude towards the elections and it shows that the green movement is united and organized”, the Coordination Council for the Green Path of Hope says in its statement. It is said in the statement that in case of joining the elections the green movement may play a determining role and has a strong potential power. In spite of this, a certain decision wasn’t told in the statement on which certain way would be pursued by the opposition during the elections.

The power is trying to demonstrate a fictitious competition in the elections by establishing the groups inside itself and by this way to gain point to it, said in the statement.

The Council blames on the power for taking the people to give a vote forcibly using its strength and position, considers the powers that be think their interests and so strike a blow to roots of the regime and states that deepening the foreign and internal crises before the elections the authorities are trying to grow activity by irritating patriotic feelings of the people.

As well as in its statement the Council calls the people and the supporters to express the protests during the elections and dishonor the power in the elections by not conflicting with the security forces.

To mention, the religious leader Khamenei stated his hopes in active participation of the people in the elections a week ago. Stating that “other nations stare at the parliamentary elections which will be conducted in Iran” he claimed the intentions of the enemies to create provocation during these elections. It becomes understandable that the elections will not pass quiet and without incidents if to pay attention to the statements of the Coordination Council for the Green Path of Hope and the supreme religious leader ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
