Iran expressed its readiness for the next time to conduct the nuclear discussions with the 5+1 group, consisted of the permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany. As Said Jalili, the Secretary General of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and the representative in the nuclear negotiations, answered positively to the letter of Catherine Ashton, the commissioner of the European Union on Foreign Policy, in which she put forward a proposal to restart the nuclear discussions. It is confirmed that the letter sent by Jalili has been presented to Ashton’s office today.
In his letter Jalili talks on possibility of an effective end of the discussions “in case of constructiveness of the parties” and states contentment felt from the expressions in Ashton’s letter on treating with respect to peace purpose nuclear activities.
The policy of Iran to continue both the discussions, and its black activities has put into action again, what serves to a tactics to gain a time. To mention, the last discussion between Iran and the 5+1 countries failed on January 2011. Since, on the one hand Iran keeps putting the negotiations off without reason and on the other hand it turns out to continue the underground activities again while giving a word on transparency. The next negotiations are also supposed not to have a different essence.
